I'M THE TUTOR WHO WILL WALK YOUR CHILD THROUGH EVERY KEY CONCEPT NEEDED SO THEY CAN ACE PRIMARY SCHOOL.

English is the subject which I feel is of fundamental importance to education as it underpins the learning of every other subject and is therefore an essential skill that children need to master in order to excel.

I enjoy teaching all aspects of the subject and I find that my own interest in English inspires and motivates the children I teach.

From a young age, I loved books and could always be found in my bedroom reading. Sometimes, I would stay up much later than my parents would have liked because I was too engrossed in a book!

At university, I studied English Literature and History and this provided me with an excellent grounding in all aspects of literacy, establishing my strong subject knowledge. After graduating, I undertook a PGCE in Primary Education and specialised in English. Then, a few years ago, I began a Masters which focuses on 'Openness and Innovation in E-Learning'. 
I have always prided myself on my commitment to teaching excellence and - during my time in the classroom - I was often observed as a model of excellent practice to assist other teachers in their development.

After less than two years, I was offered the position as English Lead and Key Stage Two Lead. Becoming an English Lead so early on in my career was such a rewarding and thrilling experience as I really loved being able to shape the way that my school approached English as well as developing the Staff who had found the teaching of English uninspiring.

Around five years ago, I made the decision to leave the 'physical' classroom and began working for an online school. As much as I enjoyed this, I really wanted to dedicate more of my time to teaching English but it was important to me to not just provide regular tutoring services as there are many people out there offering that.

Thus, I created My Cloud Tutor. Here, students get so much more than just a live tutoring session on Zoom. They can learn new skills and develop the confidence to put them into action in numerous different ways by using the study portal.
